If the exam is followed by treatment, the visit may extend longer than 1 hour. If you have time constraints, please let the front desk or the doctor know.

Wear comfortable clothing.

The doctor will talk to you to find out the problem, your goals about what to do, and will perform orthopedic and neurological tests. In addition, he will test the body for "weak" muscles. The term "weak" refers to neurologically inhibited muscles due to improper biomechanics and structural misalignments of the body. Even though your back and neck is painful, the source of the pain may be coming from another part of the body.

The doctor will explain this further during the exam. X-rays are not standard, only when the exam findings warrant it. On the first or second visit you will receive a Report of Findings prepared by the doctor. It will include answers to a few questions including: What's wrong? Can chiropractic help? How long will it take? How much is it going to cost? Along with his findings, recommended care, therapies, exercises, and home instructions will be discussed.

Part of your care may include the following therapies: myofasial release, massage, PNF/PIR stretching, deep tissue therapy, ultrasound, muscle stimulation, hot/cold packs, manual traction, rehabilitative exercises and Chiropractic adjustments.

Insurance

Please provide your insurance card when you arrive for your initial appointment. We will call your insurance company to verify coverage. If for some reason benefits cannot be verified during your visit, the exam fee will be due that day. Upon verification of benefits any monies overpaid are applied towards future care or refunded.
